Brohard Park’s 67 acres include several beach
access points that are named and used for various needs and activities. Below is a list of each location and their
amenities:
Venice Fishing Pier at South Harbor Drive:
If you enjoy fishing, there’s a 740 foot public fishing pier with restrooms, a snack bar and bait shop with a full
service restaurant at the foot of the pier. Nearby, there’s a well known wetland area for great bird watching. No
lifeguards are available on the nearly 19 acres of beach.
Service Club Park at South Harbor Drive: Seven
Acres with plenty to do. Noted for its fossil finds, this is where you’ll discover a good hunting ground for shark
teeth. The raised boardwalk with shaded pavilions traverse palmetto dunes to a quiet sandy shore featuring volleyball
courts, picnic tables, grills, bike rack, playground, restrooms and parking. With the Venice fishing pier and
restaurant nearby, it’s a great place to relax and rejuvenate. Dogs are allowed, but they must be leashed or under
voice control.
Chauncy Howard Park at the 800 block of
Esplanade North: Across from Venice airport, you can bask in the sun and occasionally glimpse a small plane taking
flight. Wheelchair friendly, this park features boardwalks with ramps to a quiet beach. There are no lifeguards but,
there’s plenty of free parking and restrooms.
BROHARD PAW PARK on Harbor Drive S: Across

South Brohard Beach at Harbor Drive: Located
on 22 acres, this is a great beach to relax and catch up on your reading. There’s plenty of free parking, picnic
tables, showers and restrooms. Usually ignored and less frequented by beach goers, scuba people will fully appreciate
this location.
