Brohard Beach, located on 22 acres, is a great beach to relax and catch up on your
reading. There is plenty of free parking, picnic tables, showers and restrooms. This quiet beach is across from the Venice airport where you
can bask in the sun and see small private planes coming and going.
To the north of Brohard beach is Paw Park, where one acre is set aside for dogs. It has a fenced area for
dogs that extends to the water. It is one of the few beaches in southwest Florida allowing dogs on the beach. |
It can get fairly crowded in season, so don't delay getting there!

DIRECTIONS: From Sarasota/Bradenton airport, go east on University Parkway to I-75. Take I-75 South to exit #193, go West on Jacaranda to the second traffic light (Venice Ave.). Turn Right on Venice Ave. Stay on Venice Avenue crossing over US 41, over the bridge to Venice Island, continuing to Harbor Drive South. Turn Left (south) on Harbor Drive South. Brohard Beach is on the right, across from the Venice Airport.
