The Public Beach on Siesta Key is the largest beach and the most popular. Weekends require an early arrival for (free) parking – while it lasts. Famous for its cool, soft, white, crystal-quartz sand, this beach attracts people of all ages. Young families will appreciate the shallow placid waters and compact sand for castle building and wading. Opportunities abound for the active set like skim boarding, kite surfing and snorkeling. Bikers, joggers and walkers are a mainstay and there’s always a game of volley ball on one of 10 courts.
