Holmes Beach
On Beautiful Anna Maria Island
Located in a residential area dotted with
rentals, Holmes Beach does not provide concession or bathing facilities but, it is a nice quiet stretch of sand.
Parking is limited to side streets that end at beach access points. Picnic tables shaded by Australian pines are
scattered near some of the entries. So, pack some snacks... and spend the day... or sink into a beach chair for an
unforgettable sunset!
Holmes Beach is the busiest section of Anna
Maria as access from the mainland (the city of Bradenton) is at this point.
Park on side streets, Walk over the Dunes
and Enjoy Old Florida!
Looking for a place to stay?
The vacation rentals vary from apartment
efficiencies and motel rooms to cottages and rental condominiums. The atmosphere is relaxing and casual with plenty of
good restaurants, performing arts and quaint little shops. What makes Anna Maria so attractive to visitors is its
private island feel... so book early and go back in time on this little island paradise. If staying on the Island,
leave the car and ride the "FREE trolleys" that travel daily from Coquina Beach to Anna Maria Pier; with service
starting at 6:00a.m. till 10:30p.m.; at 30 minute intervals.
